Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn (born Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn) is an American actor who works in both film, television, and theater. A gifted thespian she has been active professionally from over the past 27 years. She began her career in the year 1990 with an Off-Broadway performance from The Big Funk, by John Patrick Shanley. As a character in The Perfect Tribute, she was the first actress to appear on television a few years after. In 1992, she received her first big break in the form of an extra character in the movie the movie Basic Instinct. Then, in The Firm, she played the leading female character for the first time. The film was filmed with Tom Cruise and Gene Hackman. The 1990s saw her professional career was a collaboration with Hollywood's top stars like Gwyneth on Sliding doors, Hugh Grant Mickey Blue Eyes as well as Julie Andrews Relative Values. In recent times, she played Dr. Alex Blake (a police procedural-crime drama) in Criminal Minds.
